Let's talk about what actually happens to your relationship with food over time.

If you're pondering, thinking, am I ever going to stop dieting? Am I ever going to stop this stupid start over diet cycle? How long am I going to keep it up for? Am I going to keep it up for the rest of my life? This episode is for you.

Because I know a lot of you would have questions about this and it's something that you don't say out aloud.

But more importantly, I know one of the biggest fears and the biggest questions you probably ask yourself a lot of the time is, if I stop dieting, what actually happens long term? like what happens to my body long-term? What will I look like? Will I let myself go? Will I look ugly? Will people want me? Will my life be ruined? I know that that's a fear and they're questions.

And It's a worry, it's a concern, and it's a great area because you don't know.

And you haven't stopped dieting for long enough to actually see what happens to your body.

And most importantly, you haven't stopped dieting long enough for... a long period of time in a safe way that will prove to you, hey, my body is actually going to stabilize.

we think about all these things, like what happens to my body in the long term? Like really, what happens after the first few weeks? You know, after the fear settles, after, you know, some initial adjustments, do you lose control forever? Are you going to be someone that can't Handle, you know, can't control yourself around food.

Are you going to develop a real sweet tooth and you won't be able to stop the food noise, the cravings, the mindlessly eating? Is this something that you won't be able to have control over? Do you gain weight endlessly or are you going to gain like 20 kilos and you'll really struggle to lose that? These are things that I know.

Because again, really importantly to the core, what I just mentioned earlier is dieters are on and off cyclers, right? We diet, we stuff it up, we stuff it up with either binging, emotionally eating or overeating or eating just vaguely off plan.

So your body doesn't have enough time to stop dieting for a long period of time to really know what will happen.
