The difference between getting results from coaching and feeling like you wasted your investment comes down to one thing: how you show up. In this episode, Nadine shares what she's noticed about the…
Okay, well, let's dive into the topic at hand, which is how to set yourself up for success with any kind of coaching program or membership, or basically accountability, okay? It comes down to a very simple idea.
to commit to showing up for yourself and showing up for others.
So when I look at the women in our membership who have joined, who have just repeatedly shown success in their business, and I compare them to the women who have joined, maybe they've been a member for a long time, just didn't really gain that traction, or maybe they joined and they were able to just stay for a few months and they didn't really get plugged in, or they weren't seeing results in their business, so they felt like this isn't the right investment for me, What is the difference? Because there's definitely a pattern and it's almost like I can predict what's gonna happen in your business and how long you'll be in the membership based on your involvement, based on how you show up for yourself and how you show up for others.
So this is two-ply, if you will, because number one, you gotta show up for yourself.
What that means is you gotta block off the time.
So if I'm looking at somebody who's having a really hard time blocking off an hour a week to show up for our calls, I think it's going to be really hard for you to block off time to invest in your business, set up new systems, create boundaries for your schedule or for what kind of clients you want to work with.
Because if you are struggling with the basics of showing up for an hour a week for a live Zoom call, it's going to be really hard for you to show up for yourself when it comes to applying the things that we're actually talking about and the things that I'm teaching, right? So showing up for yourself, obviously that's number one.
So when you're considering any type of program, so it doesn't even have to be SBS, it can be like another membership, or if you have another coach that you're thinking of working with, I can tell you it will not be worth the investment if you don't have the time to show up.
And it's actually going to be frustrating because you think, okay, I'm putting this money into this program.
I'm frustrated with myself because I missed another call or I'm okay, I'm watching the playback, but I don't even really know what they're talking about, and I don't have time to get the extra help, so I'm just gonna kind of sit here and feel frustrated.
I'm saying that because I've been there.
I've done so many courses and programs, and I've worked with four different coaches, and some you really mesh with, and then some you're like, actually, this is not my cup of tea.
And actually, just two years ago, I invested in a program that I did not have time to watch, to show up for, And I was like, okay, that was like money wasted.
And my first thought was I wanted to blame the guy who was hosting the program.
And then I'm like, actually, this is on me because after I clicked purchase, I didn't take the next step, which was to block out the days when he had all of his calls that he was hosting.
So I was like, okay.
Just a few months ago, well, I guess it was like six months ago now, one of my good friends, she has a membership about social media and being more visible in your business.
And I'm like, oh, that sounds really fun.
I wanted to support her.
I started paying for the membership and I don't even know when the calls happen.
I think they're on Thursdays.
I don't know, because guess what? I went to one.
And then I messaged her and I'm like, hey, girl, I don't know what I was thinking.
I'm not showing up for this.
I'm so sorry.
