I have learned a lot through burning out over and over again through the last couple of years and then figuring out like, how do I prevent this in the future? What do I need? True sign of a leader.

They

can extract themselves for minutes, hours, days, sometimes months, and still

have everything go well.

A company never shuts down because a founder took a day off.

but they shut down all the time because founders burn out.

Too many salespeople

fail because they're trying to sell something.

I'm like, why are you trying to sell? You don't even know if they're going to buy.

Why don't you just have a conversation and see what happens? And then you can see if there's a sale to be made here

or not.

I just messaged every VP of sales I was connected with on LinkedIn and said, hey, I'm not trying to sell you anything.

I don't even have anything to sell yet.

I'm starting a company.

Can I steal 10 minutes of your time to ask questions? After

I take this funding, what's going to happen? Like, who are these people? Will they help me? Will they be benevolent? Will they open their network to me? Will they make sure I succeed or are they just going to put more pressure on me? The

reality is nobody knows what the heck they're doing.

It's just the people that are willing to go out there and do it that are going to be successful.
