The point of this podcast, we've been leading up to it, is I've really been breaking down what I do, what I have done to build and scale a full time run coaching business.

And what we're going to talk about today, I'm going to contrast a little bit about what I used to do because this came up in a recent conversation.

So in Runnerizing Academy, people come into the program and the group at different times and they go through the program at different paces.

He hasn't had as much time to be engaged, but he popped in the chat this week and he was like, Hey guys, what do you think about sending cold messages? Like sending messages to strangers on Instagram to see if they want to be your, like they want, you know, they want coaching.

But if you follow the Rent-A-Rising system in the program, you don't need to do that.

And then immediately, the others chimed in who have started to apply or are applying the system that we're going to talk about today.

And they said, yeah, just like what Nicole said, Emily chimed in and said, you don't need to send cold messages.

She said, I've never had a stranger reach out to me on the internet for coaching until I started working with Nicole.

So the last thing we want to be doing is sending icky messages to strangers to be like, Hey, how's your running training for anything? And like, okay, I will first, I'm going to say, I do recommend sending a welcome message when someone follows you, but we are not like trying to sell someone into coaching in that conversation.

Besides that, I mean, I would 100% never tell you to send a stranger a message.

And if you don't know, this was the thing back in like the 2019 to 2021, 2022 range was called, we call them hey girl messages.

And even back then, I would not send them to anyone who I didn't actually follow me or I followed them.

They would find anyone and send them these hey girl messages and say, hey, which now is the equivalent.
