Should a tourism levy be introduced here?

Let me welcome, first of all, our panel this afternoon.

Colm Brophy is a Minister of State for Migration and a Fine Gael TD for Dublin South.

Kathleen Funchan is a Sinn Féin MEP for Ireland South and Jed Nash is a Labour TD for Louth.

Now, let's get straight to it, because this week the Minister for Public Expenditure, Jack Chambers, says he fully supports a tourism tax or a tourism levy.

It was a motion that got unanimous support at the Fianna Fáil Parliamentary Party.

Does it have unanimous support across government? We'll soon find out.

The Irish Hotels Federation, though, are not impressed.
