Why did you choose to craft by hand, Aideen? Or to start with by hand? It's
actually quite interesting because my journey started as a hobby.
And you can't really do my job without hands.
So, I mean, we harvest by hand.
We plant.
Well, let's start from the beginning.
We actually plant by hand.
We harvest by hand.
We... pack out our orders by hand, we deliver by hand, everything is by hand in our business and it passes through so many hands.
And then obviously we've got our florist creating by hand as well.
So, I mean, it's extremely special and for me, by hand, it's more about also creating jobs and opportunities.
So that's one of my main things.
I love creating opportunities and growth for people.
So yeah, but it all starts with ants.
Tanika? So also quite a long story, but I actually studied fashion design and I was really wanting to become a fashion buyer.
And then somewhere in between my years of studies, I met my now husband, who is also a flower farmer.
And then quickly realized that, you know, it might not work out if he has to stay on a farm and I have to work in the city and quite desperately started looking for something different.
And yeah, I actually, I stumbled upon Mia Melange actually.
So I worked with Janneke for about five or six years.
And in that time, I think is really when I kind of just realized grew a love handmade stuff and just the art of making things by hand as well.
I've always been quite creative and enjoyed spending time doing creative things.
But yeah, that's when I really wanted to also do something where I can make a difference in other people's lives by making stuff with hands.
