Steve HatherlyHostYushanHostIt's being matured, and some of the students even claiming that this is the default mode that they consume.
Basically, all of the digital content that they can have right now.
And how young people are trying to make every second count is basically what they are doing.
And recently, China Youth Daily actually conducted a nationwide survey of college students collecting more than 3,000 valid responses from students at 173 universities.
And the results showed that 66% of respondents multitask while they're eating.
And also 63% usually watch TV dramas, variety shows, and short videos at double speed.
So more than 63%.
And then around 52% have worked or accessed information while traveling on public transport.
Well, that makes sense.
We were going to do on subway, right? And the survey also found that 82% of respondents have tried packing their schedules so tightly that they essentially squeezed two days of worth of activities into one.
So is this a story of young people now don't have the time to sit down for like one or two hours to listen to a lecture they have to put it on on the double speed?
Don't have time or they just prone to, you know, consume these kind of fragmented time and also use these fragmented time to... actually watch short videos because I have one example I got really shocked by a lot of the short videos right now they we're gonna mention it later some of the you know it kind of mentioned it some of the like accounts they will summarize one whole movie into probably three minutes yeah there are there are even more you know yeah
more.
Actually, the vertical size of the video is like, it can be divided into two squares, right? So the first square is the content that they are summarizing the movie.
And the second half of the screen is people playing slime or something.
What do you mean? That means people are consuming these kind of video.
They're not only satisfied with that short version movie.
They're doing something else.
They're doing something else.
So cutting down and condense that two hour movie into three minutes is not short enough.
plus a slime playing video
yeah i i'm not the audience of that kind of video but i definitely love a three minute video explaining like a two hour movie to me

i'm not done with that thought i want to give this example though because i you know i kind of get it there was a university student um in the report that came out on this topic and She was talking about the fact that double speed is her default setting, just like we said it is for a lot of people.
