Zuby is joined by health entrepreneur, former pharmaceutical rep, and founder of Ways2Well, Brigham Buhler. Brigham pulls back the curtain on America's broken healthcare system, exposing the financial…

Like one of the things I talk about is, you know, the broken system in America, at least, it's very regimented and uptight and everything's about how do we bill you and how do we, you know, get your insurance to pay for this or pay for that.
And the beauty of like pivoting away from that broken system and rolling into a cash pay model is the world is our oyster.
I was literally explaining to a high-level pro athlete today who was like, hey, man, why did my primary care never do this cancer screening? And it's nuanced.
And I don't know how it is overseas, but here in the U.S., every single test, every single medication, every single thing your doctor does has to be approved and controlled by the insurance companies.
So you got to understand, these are businesses that are in this to make billions of dollars.
They can't do that if they're covering every single nuanced new procedure, new test, cutting edge modalities.
So in America, a lot of it's an obstructionist mindset that makes it hard to get a treatment or to get an answer or to get a test done.
And as soon as you move to cash pay, it's a patient and a clinician discussing hand in hand what is the best potential test or treatment modality for that patient.
I can't tell you how many moms I've met that have said they've tried to articulate like what they're going through and their doctor doesn't listen.
It's like in this ecosystem in America, they have six minutes on average with a patient.
And even if they wanted to do a cancer screen, they can't because the insurance company says, yeah, no, we're not covering that.
So we've tried to build a life raft that allows patients and clinicians to have sovereignty and autonomy over that patient's journey and make decisions alongside a patient.
Like what's best for you? What do you want to know about? What do you want to learn about? Because there's things like genetic testing that are really cool ways for us to identify behaviors, habits, allergies, all these different things that patients aren't going to get in a traditional insurance model.
Because primarily in the insurance model, they go, well, why do we need genetics? What are we going to do with that information?
