What if you stopped asking, “Do you think I can do this?” and started asking, “Who do I need to become to do this?” That’s the conversation Kevin and I are having in this episode. We’re talking about…

So when I first proposed this idea for the episode to you, like I want to do an episode about becoming what was your first thought? Did you even know what I was talking about?

It's like, okay, becoming in what direction are we taking this conversation? Because you could go really wide on it.

And I like the idea of intentionally becoming because we are all becoming at all times.

But the idea is you intentionally follow your path that you'd like to be taking or you just kind of go with the flow and change it as the wind blows you.

And I think that's really important for us to think about because how often do we really think about this idea of becoming, of intentionally becoming the person or the runner that we want to be? And one of the things that sparked this for me as an idea for this week's podcast are just some recent conversations that we've been having with some of our clients inside the team.

And if you guys are inside the team, you might probably understand who I'm talking about.

And shout out to those amazing people for being open to coaching and all the good things.

And the questions that these people have asked and that we've had discussions about really are questions that are very universal that I have heard from so many people throughout the years and from so many clients and other people throughout the year, both people that I've coached and just friends or other people that I haven't been coaching.

One of them is this whole idea of do you think I can really do this? And then the other question was, I don't know how much I'm going to be able to fit in when I'm out of town.

But I think it's first important before we dive into what we said and how we answered those questions to really get clear on this idea of becoming.

And I don't know how many of us are actually thinking about that and realizing that.

Life is this constant process of becoming, of growing and evolving and shedding old versions of ourselves and building new ones.

And I don't know how many people really think about it that way versus this is just who I am.
