Many people hear the name of Mournvale, or the Sorrowlands, and immediately the very emotions come to the surface.

Even before the Curse of Sarthas, the people of Mournvale have struggled in the Sorrowlands, constantly pressing on against the current of fate itself.

So when people started disappearing around the shallows in the outskirts of Mournevale, no one really thought much about it.

But as all things in the Starlands, once someone from the outside of the community became lost with the dark waters, it became a priority to stop turning a blind eye to the nightmare and face it.

The Council of Mournevale was approached by the Riadelle mayor when one of the upper city's fine noble citizens had lost their son.

He had taken his lover to the shallows to picnic, never to be seen again, with the exception of their picnic basket and blanket, neglected off the shore.

When he becomes infuriated or stressed, the flames become even more out of control, especially in the stressful situation he has currently found himself in.

She is a very distinguished elven woman with long white hair and equally long elegant ears, wearing a beautiful long gray dress.

And last but not least, no pun intended due to her stature, we have Maelle Gause, who is a goblin witch.

She is well-respected in the community, despite the usual reputation of goblins, and she has always looked out for the people of Mournvale.

She is a squat goblin with a wide berth, olive green skin, and bright orange eyes.

The council has opened this meeting in the town hall in order to make East show that they are taking these missing people seriously, thus hiring you.

There's even a representative of the Riadelle mayor sitting in the front row who's looking very uncomfortable with all the people sitting around him.

The town hall is a massive space and yet it's very obvious the number of people no longer matches the size of the space.
