What are collaborative posts, I hear you say? You might remember we had collaborative articles, which were...

Hi, everybody got those community top voice badges and then claimed that they were a top voice on LinkedIn.

Community top voices where if you contributed enough of your own thoughts to a collaborative article on LinkedIn, you gained a top, a community top voice badge, which was pretty easy to get.

Seems to be getting given to celebrities or people who previously have worked at LinkedIn, as far as I can tell.

So what are collaborative posts? When you go to write a post on LinkedIn, if you have collaborative posts, at the top where it says, who's this post for, it's like a dropdown, it says anyone.

So you click on start a post and across the top it says post to anyone, comments anyone, and then it says add collaborators, which Initially, I was so excited about, I created a post with the two experts who are joining me on my expert sessions, Catherine George and Patricia Green.

It had like, because when you see a collaborative post, you can see the person's name and the headshot or the logo of the person or company page they are collaborating with alongside the post.

And the brilliant thing about it is the post will then go out to both audiences.

But if you collaborate with somebody who doesn't have it yet, it's a complete waste of time.

You also have to wait for the person to accept the invite to be a collaborator.
