And I said it out loud, "This is such a metaphor." Because isn't it? We're all just trying to float, trying to carve out moments of stillness, of joy, of meaning, and sometimes right in the middle of that, something unexpected happens, something uncomfortable, something that interrupts the moment we thought we had perfectly set up.
It just became a part of it, and that's the part we forget, right? We think presence has to be uninterrupted in order for it to count.
And sometimes we forget that healing doesn't always look like sitting still in a quiet room with perfect lighting.
Sometimes it looks like blasting the song that understands you better than you understand yourself.
Sometimes it looks like floating in a pool and getting stung and laughing about it later.
