because we probably all had this, there have been times when people have asked me that question in a hospital room when something tragic is happening.
And you need to have a discernment to know they're not really asking in this moment if I could give a theological explanation for suffering.
They're crying out, needing someone to say, god sees god hears god knows god cares i love you i'm sorry so when when we help people who are in suffering we need we need to have ears to hear what they're what they're really asking one of the answers as long as we apply it correctly is certainly romans 8 28 God is working all things for good for those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Now, I say careful because we don't want to use that text as a stiff arm when somebody's suffering as if to say, no, no, no, don't get too upset.
But when people need to be reminded of the truth, and that is one of the precious truths of Scripture.
