How Should I Use AI?

I, I am, I'm not a tech guru.

I'm not up to date on all of the, the latest uses of AI, but I've given it a little thought.

Here's, here's some of the questions I ask myself.

And, and I'm, I'm sure I'm thinking like somebody in my job and someone, you know, not, you know, a finance guy who's saying, "How do I use AI to crunch numbers or something?" So it's, it's a specialized answer.

But I ask the question, am I using AI to fetch or to generate? There's lots of generative AI, and I don't think it's wrong to use it.

But what I mean is, as I think about it for me, it's one thing if I use AI to say, "Give me all of the uses of the Holy Spirit in the Pauline epistles." It's another to say, "Give me a five hundred word summary of Paul's uses of the Holy Spirit, Paul's use of the Holy Spirit." I don't think the second is wrong, depending on how you use it, but I, I get, I get nervous about using AI in a generative way as I think about having to prepare things.

So that, that's one.

Am I having AI do things that provide things in an orderly way to help me do the work I can do, or am I having AI do all the, the work for me? Now again, it, it's unique to the sort of work that I do.

Uh, a second question that I think of is, is this-- is-- if I used AI, is it helping me do what I do better, more creatively, more excellently? Again, I'm thinking of the job that I have.
