My guest is Angela McGuire, the new Executive Director for Jesus Driven. We chat about the non-profit's mission and how they can assist people in need! Sponsored by Pier 55…
That's just so cool.
A- and we'll give out the website now, since I mentioned it and then didn't give it to you.
Uh, way to tease people, Greg.
So let's, uh, the cat out of the bag, what, what is the mission of Jesus-Driven? Because the key is really part of the name of it, actually, Driven.
So this is, this has to do with transit.
[laughs]
So we are moved by the love of Jesus Christ into the lives of, um, individuals to ultimately fix and repair cars.
So we get cars from individuals who are no longer using their vehicles for any number of reasons, and then those cars are fixed up and given to individuals who do not have a vehicle.
Um, so if an individual does not have the financial resource to be able to pay for their car repair, Jesus-Driven will take care of the diagnostics and the labor, and they pay for the parts.
And we'll repair their car and get them back, you know, running to appointments, getting their kids here and there, running to and from work.
Excellent, and that is huge.
So the, the client, so to speak, they pay for the parts, but the, uh, diagnostics...
And if you've got a car of a certain age, a lot of places charge you just for that.
And-
So we plug it into our machine, and it gives you a, gives us a rundown of exactly what's going on with the car.
Sure.
Yeah
That's just so cool.
