Two shoppers almost threw down at the bins. Is it ever OK to interrupt another buyer's deal? Garage sale etiquette for eBay resellers. Mike and Orlando break down garage sale etiquette for resellers…
Now, first question.
We kinda...
I- we were talking about this last week.
How early is too early to show up? Now, I am interested, Mike, in what you shared.
I think you did a little post on social.
What- where did you land on there?
Yeah, so what I did is I took a clip from that video and, um, you know, what I found most interesting were the comments that people gave, and it seemed like a lot of people were really on board with, you know, what our discussion.
And I think that hour to 45 minutes early, I think that is kind of the, the going amount where people say they feel comfortable with.
But again, it depends on where you're at, right? Um, I think there's also factors of, like, certain locations, certain...
The- the vibe of the city, right? If you live in Hawaii, it's probably a little bit different showing up early to a garage sale than if you're living in the middle of a city.
You know, there's just a different vibe and a culture de- depending on your local area.
Um, but, but I do think that you, you gotta be careful, and a lot of people were saying the same thing in the comments of, like, if, if you see them, they're setting up, you see their stuff set up, that's fine.
If they haven't even opened the garage door yet, and it's like, "Is this the right house? Did I look- put in the right address?" And you're knocking on doors at 3:00, 4:00, 5:00 in the morning when there's no lights on, like, at that point you're probably breaking some, uh, some etiquette rules there.
Okay, but-
And not likely to end up getting a, a good score.
But let me jump in there a little bit.
Let me ask a couple questions, Mike.
First question, to knock or not to knock? Like, if you're there early, right? Let's say you're there an hour early.
Okay, again, it-
Is there something wrong with you knocking at the door and be like, "Hey-
I think-
"...
I'm here kinda early."
Again, it, it depends on if it's set up.
Like, if I pull up and there's, like, some tables with stuff out on the, in front of the garage, but nobody's out there with the stuff, I don't think there's anything wrong with knocking at that point.
