Could mould be the missing piece in persistent fatigue, brain fog, sinus issues, skin flare ups or gut dysfunction? In this episode, we’re joined by Emily, our clinical Naturopath at Pure Health, to…
like look at my underarms right now eczema oh wow yeah like I've got so many mold symptoms so I feel like I should start with the visual eye contrast test which is what my functional GP said
Is Kirstie's a case study or a part two series?
We're fine.
Em and I will have a look
into it.
Or Em can start.
I guess so let's say let's use Kirstie as an example.
We start with that question airing.
What would you suggest from an environmental perspective if you thought Kirstie was at risk of like a mold exposure or these symptoms were showing up? Yeah.
How would you recommend for her to look into it from an environmental perspective?
So first I would suggest like looking for any visible mould or any musty odours that you might smell around the house.
You can get certain companies to come in and test your house for mould as well if there's nothing visible, which is often the case.
I would also suggest, you know, looking into the air con.
Is there mould there? Any sort of wet surfaces, anything along those lines that you think could be visible? yeah a trigger there yeah
and i would say like that probably is almost one of the most valuable ways to actually look into it um and then you can figure out what you're working with i guess because i guess as practitioners there's only so much we can do with the quote unquote creating mold or supporting that detoxification process if you're still getting exposed to it daily so you need to always like anything with your health identify the root of what's what's driving it and figure out figure out a bit of a game plan I guess it depends on where the mold is exposed, but say if it's in an air con vent, that would mean you just need to like replace that, like that air con, I guess.
Is it easy to remove or does it require quite like a thorough process? Yeah.
Yeah, it depends on the extent of it.
I mean, depending on the air con with what you have, you might be able to, you know, clean it yourself.
Otherwise, if it's a little bit more involved, you can get people in to clean it professionally.
