It was a part of the Women's Leadership Academy, and it was a Women of Impact.
So I have heard so many wonderful things about the Women Leadership Academy, and I know a lot of people that are involved in it.
either from a production standpoint or have been in one of the cohorts or a mentor or both.
This year, I'm honored to be a mentor in the program, but I'm very interested in actually joining the program and going through it because, again, I've heard phenomenal things.
It was a small intimate group and there were three different speakers who spoke about their journey as women leaders and they all had like different impacts on the community, right? And At the end of it, because you had to be there to experience it.
I can't recapture that for you, right? But at the end of it, we were asked to all give our aha or our takeaway.
And my takeaway is something that... that I try to practice in real life often, and it's for a specific reason.
So my takeaway is that, you know, as we journey, as we, you know, all are doing our thing, and I feel like, you know, everybody has an impact on the world.
It could be, you know, a positive one, it could be a negative one, right? But everybody has some sort of impact on the world around them.
But I don't think we always feel that way because as you're living it, as you're doing it, you are not, you know, sometimes you're too close to it to see what your impact is.
So two of the ladies speaking represented organizations that were very instrumental in growing my first business.
And also as I transitioned into the second business, But, you know, but at a time where I was at that crossroads of, you know, leaving nine to five and becoming a full time entrepreneur, those organizations were very, very important to me.
And I made it a point to share that with the ladies that were there, that how much impact they had on me personally was.
The third speaker actually was one of the little girls that integrated the school systems, right? And even though I know the story, it was very...
Well, I don't even want to say I know the story, even though I've heard the story.
You know, outside of having that conversation, I think sometimes it's easy for us to just like see it as a moment and not necessarily a whole life experience.
