Ep. 131 Cup Fever

Now, Front Nine, we were at the President's Cup this week, boys, and tell you what, I had thoughts after day one that it was going to be tight, and then they went away, and then they came back, and then they got whisked away again.

What did we make of this one, boys? Would have been lovely to see Team INT get away with a win, but it wasn't to be.

We might go around clockwise.

Um, pretty disappointing really, um, with the position that the internationals were in.

Yeah, it's quite disappointing.

We went into singles with a three-point lead.

Would we only need to win five in the last day? We needed to win five matches, five out of the 12.

Ten

and a half,

seven and a half going into

singles.

Correct, yeah.

And historically the singles has always been fairly tight.

Like it's always been like a couple of matches either way.

Like you never have any real big blowouts.

But even like in the, in seven, seven, five kind of thing, like seven us matches, five, like it's always been pretty tight.

Whereas what do they end up winning? Eight or we, we only, we won two and half two or something like that.

That's rubbish.

So it's, um, that's really disappointing because we should not have let that slip.

Um, um i think we if the us knew how to play team golf we probably wouldn't have been in a position to do it anyway but that's beside the fact we were in a position and we just did not um didn't take advantage of it didn't turn up on on sunday there was only two guys that turned up so um i think hideki's match was the uh was the nail in the coffin missing that three footer on 15 or 16 or whatever it was for to halve the match from what to halve the hole i should say from three and a half feet

That's a big – He had a couple of waivers earlier on as well.

I think the pressure got on top of him.
