For innumerable time, um, for very, very long time, yoga has been-- understanding the meaning of yoga has been the path of gradually turning, um, thinking, uh, open up, uh, on itself so that we can have this union of the split polarity, the, the observer and the personality.
Um, that's what yoga means to yoke, to unite.
And the interesting thing is that there's also the, the tantric, uh, teachings, which are, are, are, are about acceptance of what is.
And so [sighs] every spiritual path is a yogic path, um, you know, that has developed in many different ways across the planet in, in different, um, traditions.
But at its core is the same, it's just the techniques, the system that changes or, or variates in this or that.
But ultimately, they are not opposite yoga and tantra, even though in practice they are.
Ultimately-- And this is the interesting part, and this is where I have come to, um, w-where my contemplations, where my spiritual path has led me, is to understand the nature of thinking and how it gets in the way of this journey of awakening.
And it is, it is true through practices you gradually learn to transform or allow the transformation.
But, but that's the keyword right there, allowing, because if you understand that both are together, yoga and tantra, they work together.
At some point, the practice transforms and it becomes surrender.
So but if you can do both simultaneously, the practice of, um, learning how to integrate the mind while at the same time surrendering, then you step out of both systems.
And I think that's, um, I think [laughs] , um, in my experience, what I've seen, what I've experienced is that the path of dedication to a discipline, to, um, practice, um, can only be successful if done with surrender.
So you're doing the yoga and the tantra simultaneously, and by doing it, they cancel each other.
And what, what that, what that means in terms of what I've been talking about throughout this, um, month or month and a half since I have re- you know, retake- retaken this podcast to finish this, um, sixty-four Jinkis, um, transmission, it's about understanding the nature of the situation.
Because a lot of the training, it assumes, and all trainings and all spiritual traditions, it assumes that you're working from ignorance.
And m-my own realization has given me the option, or I have found the option to observe and put into practice, w-what if, instead of doing the spiritual journey through from ignorance to knowledge, what if you realize that you are not ignorant of what's happening? What if, what if you choose to observe that you already know? You already know, but not the you that you think it is.
And, and that's, that's the keyword right there.
It's not the you or the I that is doing the something.
But-- And, and it's not trying to unify the, you know, the lower states of consciousness so that it becomes the higher states of consciousness, but it's a realization that observes the situation, right? The, um, the I am this, you know, person trying to awake versus I am watching and I am simultaneously living.
And if you can integrate those seemingly opposite ends of the same spectrum, they cancel each other.
And what I mean by cancel is like it's, it's such a, um, a logical impossibility that, that in that moment there's, there's a gap in between-- in the moment of contemplation, there's a gap in between the, the natural order of your, of your life.
And in that gap when you learn to, um, to, to n-not maintain, but, um, kind of-- It's like, kind of like you are in a room and suddenly you step out of the room and suddenly you realize that you were in a room and now the world is infinite.
But simultaneously you're still in the room and you're still playing the, the life, the character of the room, but you're no longer identifying with, with, uh, with your life, with your character.
You are playing the character, you're enjoying playing the character, but you're no longer the character.
And so [lip smack] and even the, the, the you or the y- or the, the your word kinda goes out the window.
