sometimes referred to in psychology as eustress, E-U-S-T-R-E-S-S, which means we need to take our challenges.

We need to embrace our adventure or sort of like in Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist, the kind of call to the quest.

And that ought to be a way we engage with problems even, I think, that it's not an ordeal or it's not only an ordeal, it's also the challenge.

just having this discussion yesterday with my partner that, because we're talking about finding your life's purpose.

And I was one of the few people that knew from very early on, I read The Alchemist by Paula Coelho at like 13 and knew, knew, knew with absolute certainty, the certainty of youth that I would be an actor.

And I told my dad, and to his credit, he never once tried to discourage me, even though the path is ridiculously hard.

He just said, son, okay, I hear you.

Why do these problems keep following me? I used to actually have a quote on my bulletin board.

It came from the guy who wrote The Alchemist, Paulo, I think, Coelho.

I'm not sure if I say his last name correctly.

But the leader rails, why does this problem keep presenting itself? And the problem says back, because you've never been beyond it.

Absolutely.

And it's really leaning into the fact that it's a journey, right? And you have to go through that in order to get it.

And sometimes the end is exactly where you started.

So as the other theme of my podcast is based on The Alchemist, the book by Paulo Coelho.

And there's this one line, my favorite line in the book, where he says something like, the universe conspires in your favor to those who are in pursuit of their personal legend.

Legend equals story.

And then the next thing she said is, "My way is made perfect." She believes in God, so her God makes her way perfect.

But when she said that, I also thought about that famous line in The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, "When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it." And you know, Gabby Bernstein, Gabrielle Bernstein, has that really good book as well, The Universe Has Your Back.

So like faith is gorgeous because faith just takes out all the like us, you know, it's kinda, it reminds me of that Rumi quote as well, you know, "You were born with wings.

Stop crawling." Because when we're in fear, we're all like wrapped up into the detail.
