There was also an upstairs flat occupied by two people who could have lost their lives that night.
At that time, I was dating a young man.
There was no affair.
He was targeted because of his association with me.
I did occasionally visit his flat and had we been there on the night of the attack, we could both have been killed.
Had my child been there, they too could have lost their life.
All of those involved took that risk.
As referenced in the podcast, none of those involved served prison time for their part in an attack that could have easily resulted in multiple deaths.
He left the court accompanied by an underage girl.
As witnesses, we were left to watch proceedings unfold while he ultimately avoided serving a prison sentence.
That remains a source of profound hurt.
I do not know why Eamon Cooke later said he organized the petrol bomb, nor do I know what was said about me during his sentencing hearing.
To this day, I have never received any explanation.

The next window along was my child's bedroom, where my child was asleep.
