Thanksgiving Arranges The Atmosphere

What are you thankful for? It's a reasonable question to ask because I come across a lot of memes posts, reels, that are talking about the need for us to be thankful, grateful.

And I can't get away from the feeling that being thankful and grateful is good, but not enough.

I think you really have to be thankful to someone.

You just can't be thankful.

If I came into your birthday party and everybody's giving you presents and I give you one and it's something you really wanted and you go, whoa, I'm so thankful, I'm so grateful, this is amazing, I got this.

And you don't thank me, you just say I'm thankful, I'm thankful.

I mean, even worse would be to go to the person who's like, somebody I don't really like, who doesn't like me, and say, you know what? I'm going to thank you for this.

I mean, that would be even worse.

But just to be thankful to nothing, it's impossible.

We've got to be thankful to the Lord, to God.

And giving Him thanks is one of the greatest things you can do because it's the best antidote to complaining.

So check this scripture out in Ephesians 5.18, be filled with the spirit, worshiping, singing, making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things.

What? For all things, not in all things.

I could cope with that easily.

For all things? You mean the things that I don't like happening in my life? Poor God.

Well, he was in prison.

And he said, I'm thankful to God for this.

And you know what? That opened a door.

So he reached Caesar's household, Nero.

Some of the chief guards who were looking after him, they were converted.

They had to keep changing guards because they'd keep on getting converted.

He was chained to them.

He's saying, I thank God for the circumstance.

This is amazing.

In fact, when he writes to the Philippians, he says, the things that have happened to me have fallen out for good.
