Well, I started in NACHA in 2007, so about 19 years ago in the rules department.

and I've been in the Rules Department as a subject matter expert the entire time.

I have taken on additional responsibilities in addition to answering inquiries from our callers to managing the production process for the NACHA operating rules and guidelines that includes writing, editing, and all sorts of other things, and serve as a subject matter expert for our other publications as well.

And so I'm hoping you can talk to our listeners a little bit about what is the ACH compliance manual.

I am so excited to, and I'm so glad that this is going to be coming out soon.

The ACH compliance manual is an excellent resource for all payments professionals.

The NACHA operating rules serve as the contract between the financial institutions and the ACH operator, and the guidelines serve as implementation guidance.

So it starts with the ODFI, it has originators and third-party senders there, and then it goes to the ACH operators and the RDFIs and so on.

So you can go to the compliance manual and find out everything you need to know about authorizations.

And it'll have what everyone's role is with respect to an authorization, how it is handled by each of the participants in the network.

So it's a super companion for you to get laser focused on a particular process without having to search and pull together all the different pieces from the rules and guidelines.
