So dear friends, last week we had a gospel on fraternal correction, a difficult theme, an awkward kind of a theme, because there's a big shift, a big change from the primary school version of the faith that we have, where it's all nice and cute and we sing songs and we hold hands and we go on nature walks and Jesus finds sheep and heals the people.

It's all very nice.

But then the adult version of the faith is that now that we know who this Jesus is, this is supposed to actually have effects on how I live my life.

So on the decisions I make, on how I act and how I behave, this faith is supposed to actually change what I do.

That's a different level altogether because it's very easy to sing the songs and sing Kumbaya and hold hands and go on nature walks and Jesus finding sheep.

That's not difficult.

That requires absolutely nothing of me.

But doing what the Lord asks, that can be very, very challenging.
