I have an 18-month-old little boy and I'm looking for some advice on how to deal with his behaviour when he visits my parents for Sunday dinner.

My sister has two children, aged two and three, and unfortunately she doesn't really discipline them or set boundaries.

When we all get together at my parents' house, they tend to run riot, screaming, throwing things, generally doing whatever they please.

Lately, my little boy has started copying their behaviour when he's around them.

He's begun screeching at the top of his lungs, throwing toys around the room, even throwing his dinner at people while sitting in his high chair.

I don't want to stop going to my parents' house for our usual Sunday dinners as family time is important to me.

However, I'm worried that my son is picking up habits I don't want to encourage.

And I feel frustrated trying to teach him boundaries when he sees his cousins behaving so differently.

Is there any way I can stop this mimicking behaviour without telling my sister to rein in her kids? I feel sorry for the grandparent here.

same thing going, oh, my God, I hope you bring granny like more than just a bunch of flowers.

But I think that last bit, you know, about telling my sister to rein in the kids.

That's obviously where this person is at right now is that that's actually what you're sitting with.
