And as a parent of a teenage boy today, you already know in your gut that the digital ecosystem that your son is having to navigate is completely different from the one that you and I grew up with.

Even just a decade ago, addressing a pornography concern, well, it meant maybe putting a filter on the desktop computer or setting up router-level blocks or checking the browser history periodically.

And you put up the digital fences and blocked explicit websites and thought, well, we're okay.

Well, unfortunately, I do need to tell you something urgent from a clinical perspective.

And now in 2026, in today's digital world, the primary threat to your son's recovery, well, believe it or not, it isn't hidden hardcore websites that he's searching for at 2 a.m. It's actually something that's hiding in plain sight, delivered directly to his pocket 24-7 It involves a highly risky, deeply addictive behavior known as edging, and it is systematically fueled by hyper-sophisticated algorithms that are engineered to capture his developing brain.

So today we are going to look under the hood of what is happening on his screen, examine the neurochemistry that's occurring in his nervous system, and unpack clear evidence-based tools to help him to break this cycle for good.
