Um, and so I am someone I would say is, or in the past hasn't been the best at overcoming things that I don't like.

Um, and so that's just, it, it been a huge thing for me is I need to learn how to overcome those things and, uh, one of that, one of those things was, uh, was my fitness journey.

Uh, now I know as soon as I say fitness journey everyone's gonna start looking at my posture, my, [laughs] my mu- my muscles.

You know, I'm saying part of this and later on you're kinda see, you're gonna see it, is learning to be a little okay with yourself when you're not, when you're in that journey.

I love Frank 'cause Frank, uh, is a fitness coach and, and he gave me a, a c- a course and I love him and I know him, I know him from church.

Um, and I didn't do the fitness course and he responded in a way that surprised me.

[laughs] Uh, instead of the, instead of sharing to me how disappointed he was and how annoyed he was with me, uh, he actually started just asking me m- asking me why.

Why? Because, uh, uh, what ended up happening is he asked me why enough times that it got down to, hear this, I realized my perspective on fitness and health was from my upbringing and what I learned from my upbringing was you eat healthy so you don't die quick and you eat healthy so you don't get embarrassed by other people.

I learned that in, in my school, I learned that in family, I learned that through showbiz.

You eat so the produ- you eat well and you stay fit so the producers don't get upset at you or comment on your body fat.

Um, and you eat healthy so you don't look like your parents or other family members that got high blood pressure, you know, heart attacks, strokes.

And so I, I grew up with a fear of dying and I grew up with a fear of people commenting on me.

So it's with Frank that I, I kind of, he asked me enough r- whys to get through all of my excuses, all of my insecurities to those foundational truths.

Um, and I, I'm, I'm proud to say it now, but initially I actually started crying to him and I said, "What if I can, what if I only have the emotional capacity to do one pushup a day?" And he just looked at me and said, "That's, that's a- that's awesome.

You're doing more than you did yesterday." And then he introduced this kind of, um, concept of the fan.
