I'm Kathy.

I'm a compulsive overeater.

And I'm a grateful member of this fellowship.

And it's really just nice to, I was thinking when I was watching you all come in and before the meeting started, if I felt towards the world in general, the way I feel when I go into any OA meeting, even if I don't know a soul, I thought, oh, my life would be just so much easier because I always feel just so grateful to be among you all.

So I just wanted to say that.

I'm from Washington State.

I live about an hour south of Seattle in the capital of the state, Olympia.

You've probably heard of it.

I grew up Washingtonian.

And I walked into my first OA meeting on May 26, 2000.

And my first day of abstinence is May 29, 2000.

So I've been abstaining for 26 years as of last May.

And yeah, I'll just kind of talk briefly about what it was like, what happened, and what it's like now.
