Kordell Stewart

In just a couple of minutes, we're going to get back to our election coverage here on your official election station, but got to make time for Slash himself.

Joining us live on the Mark Arum Show, Mr. Kordell Stewart.

Cordell, good morning.

Thanks so much for your time.

Good morning to

you, Mark.

How you doing,

brother? Excellent.

Took me back.

Slash and Burn, new documentary on HBO.

Before we talk about the documentary, I got to ask you this.

If you could do it all over again, would you still be Slash, a multi-position weapon, or would you have focused strictly on being a quarterback?

I'd do it all again.

I'd do it all again.

So here's the thing.

So many people are so conventional in their thought process of what that position looks like.

See...

The game of football is not played one way.

You know, to me, it's more about the coach's ability to make adjustments for whatever the case may be.

You know, you play high school ball, they get the best athlete, they put him at quarterback.

You get to middle school, it's the same thing.

You get to high school, it's the same thing.

You get to college, it's the same thing.

You get to the pros... you get the pundits to get stuck in looking at it a certain type of a way to be accepted, right? So sure, I get drafted in the National Football League, assisted pick overall in the second round as a quarterback.

Of course, Coach Cower and everyone probably saw that my ability was one that could do pretty much a lot of things on the football field.
