This Is NOT Getting Enough Attention… | Daily Nuggets News & Rumors

We'll start with the big one.

Is the overall roster better than last year's roster? First, a reminder of where Denver was last year.

Nuggets went 54-28, finished third in the Western Conference, lost in the first round to the Minnesota...

Timberwolves, unfortunately, according to NBA.com, that was the third straight early playoff exit.

We constantly cover that.

So when we ask, is the roster better, the bar isn't too high when it comes down to what the roster last year did.

But let me take the starting five first.

It's the exact same group.

That group went 18-5 in 23 games they played together last year.

So the top of the roster is unchanged, and it comes down to the health of it.

If that team is healthy, they're obviously better than last year's roster.

The bench is where everything has changed, and here's what's left.

According to Sports Illustrated, offseason grade, Peyton Watson went to Cleveland in the sign-and-trade after Denver balked at the contract demands, and the Denver Nuggets received the first-round pick, obviously, in return for Peyton Watson.

They also let Tim Hardaway Jr. walk.

Bruce Brown is officially a free agent.

May go overseas now.

Jonas Valanciunas went overseas.

There's some other names that have come and gone.

Here's what came in.

DeMar DeRozan on the vet minimum.

Marvin Bagley, Alpha Diallo, Tyus Jones is back.

Trevon Brazil and then the young guys in Whitmore, Hopkins, Nemhardt.

You bring Spencer Jones back after.

the Oklahoma City Thunder made him the offer.

So let's compare position by position.
