[upbeat music] I do love that feeling of thinking, wow, like people hundreds, thousands of years ago were traveling along here just to go about their business.
And I just lo- I just think that's amazing thinking that sort of medieval people were out and about just taking their horses over here, and now here I am in my, like, Lycra and sort of breathable kit.
[upbeat music] The Ridgeway runs 87 miles from a hill in the Chilterns called Ivinghoe Beacon to the stone circle at Avebury across the Wessex Downs.
She ran with her friend Sophie, and two more friends, Ange and Oscar, walked the same daily distances starting at the same time, 29 miles on day one, 33 miles on day two.
