Well, it is a busy week, Halloween, of course, and we've dealt with this numerous times last week.
So we're just reminding your listeners that Operation Tombola has commenced since 5th of October.
This annual operation seeks to create awareness, prevent the import, sale or possession of fireworks.
But moreover, it seeks to increase the understanding of the harm that can arise from their use.
For example, burns, serious injuries, fires, damage to property, stress and trauma to vulnerable members in our communities and stress to animals.
We must stress that it is illegal to import sell or use a firework without a licence.
Fines of up to €10,000 or imprisonment for five years can result following a successful prosecution.
So we are appealing to parents and guardians in particular to make sure their children are aware of the dangers associated with fireworks and bonfires.
So please do not supply your children with fireworks or the money to purchase these fireworks.
In order to remain safe this Halloween, please only attend organised, licensed events and make sure your children stand well back from the fires or displays.
to speak with students about the dangers, so hopefully everyone can have a safe Halloween festival.
But if you are concerned about any issue in your area, please contact your local Garda station or call the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.
