Do you think your body has a natural weight that is different from your target weight? We discuss whether we’re aiming for a weight that our body doesn’t want to reach. Plus, is everything we thought…
Do you think your body has a natural weight that's different from your target weight? Let me just kind of explain what thinking got me onto this, because this isn't entirely obvious.
Maybe the first time you hear me say it.
So I feel like when I was doing what I was doing before, before I had my own diet teams, which has completely changed my life.
I was trying a bit during generally being pretty good during the week and then not being good at all during the weekend.
And it feels like 15 stone four.
I could stay there forever without thinking about it.
When I try during the week and try a little bit at the weekend, I hit 15 stone one.
But any different, anything further than that, it's a real struggle.
And it makes me think, is this the weight that my body naturally wants to be?
No, you've got to try harder.
Okay.
I think, yes, I do.
Yeah, I think there is some truth to that.
So for me, for the summer, when I was maintaining...
I think that is my happy, comfortable weight.
I think I can still enjoy going out, still enjoy the treats that I had, while still being mindful of what I am consuming and moving my body as little as I did or whatever.
But I think that could 100% be a weight that I could live at comfortably and be fine about it.
However, obviously we've all got our goals and things have to change to get to those goals.
But then I also think as you get smaller and you lose weight, your natural weight will actually come down anyway.
So when I was bigger...
The things obviously that I was eating, yes, I probably, you know, I was going overboard, hence I was putting weight on.
But again, you could easily live like that.
If you were happy being that weight, that size, whatever, you probably would just carry on coasting at that weight.
Whereas obviously as you get smaller, your stomach gets smaller, the food that you eat, you get less of.
So I think there will come a point where probably, hopefully, 11 stone something will be my new comfortable weight.
