Well, actor and director Mel Gibson is once again sharing new details about the resurrection of the Christ.
And he was speaking at Fan Expo Toronto, and he gave some new details that I had not heard before.
He mentioned that he's editing and doing post-production work in Canada right now on this film.
People were cheering for that, which means he's putting it together, putting those puzzle pieces together.
But I want to read this quote, Raj, and I'm going to come to you on this because a lot of people are concerned or worried or interested to see how will these films first of all, how similar will they be to the passion, A, but B, are they gonna live up to scripture? So here's what he said.
He said, I don't think it's what anyone expects, but it doesn't deviate from the truth and the essence of the story.
So I wanna come to you on that because we've talked a lot about this, right? When you're taking the Bible and the gospels in particular, and you're putting them, especially the resurrection into a film form, Raj, you do have to do some imagining of what it might've looked like, do you
And we just we just talked about this with the chosen, you know, a lot of people's issues with the chosen aren't necessary isn't necessarily that the moments in Scripture that are clearly defined and clearly talked about that they somehow mess those up.
The reason that some people have issue with the chosen is the things that aren't in Scripture at all.
It's you know, like, I think we got to go to acts and think about this, I'm going to read you just two lines.
that's it i mean there's other stuff and another parts of scripture and acts uh in the gospels but not a lot and you're gonna make two films about this but here's the thing there's not a lot of content in the bible about this necessarily not a lot of actual paragraphs and pages and chapters but it's the most important fact the most important moment the most important 40 days necessarily that the world and the universe have ever seen, that we're not alone, that we do have infinite value, that we are created in the image of God.
