I think the theme this week, Newell, and I've said it a couple of times to friends, coworkers, and, and even to other media members, you know, there's two losses on the year.

But, you know, I keep hearing everybody saying, "Well, it was Ole Miss' Super Bowl in week number three." Last week, the Wildcat fans stormed the field, and everybody came away from it and said, "Oh well, you know, we gotta realize that was Kentucky's Super Bowl." Well, we're half- we're past the halfway point of the regular season.

I, I would recommend to LSU that the rest of these games starting tomorrow morning against Mississippi State needs to be their Super Bowl.

I feel good about the Tigers playing at home, although let's give Mississippi State credit.

Um, both teams not sure exactly who's gonna be able to go for Mississippi State.

Uh, you know, everybody's got injuries, but, you know, there's a question mark about Kamario Taylor, the talented quarterback, and obviously Fluff Bockwahl, who is their leading running back.

So we'll see who gets on the field, but regardless of who the Tigers play tomorrow from a personnel situation, Newell, I'm with you.

This is, i- in many respects, I guess f- as you look at the rest of the schedule for both of these teams, this is kind of a breakout game for both of them, right?

I mean, for LSU, again, uh, as I mentioned, you wanna protect the home field, and you desperately wanna get back to .500 i- in SEC play, so there's the importance there.

Uh, for Mississippi State, I, I, I still believe they are the surprise to me and probably a number of people because it was just so quiet in Starkville.

We saw a little bit of Taylor last year, who was, showed flashes of brilliance, but I, I don't remember anybody having him as a preseason Heisman candidate.

And, you know, a couple of weeks ago his name started to leak into that conversation.

Um, so, so again, for Mississippi State, I think they're trying to prove to the rest of the world, okay, they've been boosted up to number 16 in the country.
