I find it, uh, interesting that, uh, while we were yet enslaved, that it was illegal for us to be able to read and write.
If you were caught even with a pencil in your hand, they called for immediate lynching.
When it is that our ancestors found themselves freed, they did not open up nightclubs.
They used to, uh, have a saying that, "If you wanna keep a secret from Black people, hide it in a book." Now they'll give you the book and you won't read it.
We have gone from the miseducation of the Negro to the mal-education of Black people.
On average, Black students, on average, Black students are two reading levels behind.
Mindful that school is starting just in about two weeks, and all summer long you've had video games playing, TV been on, no books have been read, no writing has been done, and then you got the nerve to go to the school trying to fight the teacher.
[audience applauds] They are counting on our ignorance and underestimating our brilliance.
There's a hack I unearthed that they use in Russian schools that made their children functionally smarter in seven days, and I wanted you to have it before school starts in 14.
Um, [lips smack] transparently, you need to know that the exercise is gonna be overwhelming.
The exercise that I want, uh, you to perform with your children, with your grandchildren, with your godchildren, even, uh, for yourself may be a little bit stressful, whether you're in elementary, middle school, high school, or even in college level.
Here is, uh, a functionality that they do in all Russian schools at the beginning of the year, and I want you to have it.
