New Birth Missionary Baptist Church

Yes.

How much are you giving to New Birth? Oh.

I haven't figured that number out.

I got to pray on

And then also another point is watch what your kids are doing with your money.

I tell them, if you aren't doing right with your money, you're not going to give my money.

Howard University, New Birth, somebody else will get my money, but I'm not going to work hard to build wealth to see you spoil it away on stupid stuff, right? It's not for that.

Wealth is to basically build and to continue to grow within the family and also make a difference in the community.

Jamal Bryan had to switch his church.

He used to be at Empowerment Temple, now he's at New Birth.

How do you know that Brandon? I used to love Jamal Bryan.

I thought he was great.

That was the last time I ever heard him preach because I quit listening to him.

I said, God ain't in this.

And this is how your pastor, whoever watching this, that's come from new birth or not a new birth.

Here's your pastor right here.

There's not double jeopardy here.

Now, the morning following the breaking news in Georgia at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, Christine Wansley, remember that's the mom, she stood with her husband and with Ben Crump, and she said she did not accept that as the end of the story.

She said she and Elmore read that report page by page more than once, and they still have no answers about Nolan's death.

She said it reinforced her belief that Nolan was not given a thorough, transparent, honest investigation.

We gotta run straight to it.

The church that I pastor, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, I am so grateful under God that since the pandemic, we have fed 1.5 million people.

1.5 million people have had access to food because of a singular church.

And while it is that we do that every first and third Saturday, what I've not told you about, that I need you to not just find it, but I want you to replicate it, is we got our own garden where we're growing cabbage, lettuce, zucchini, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, right here on our campus.

I'm Dr. Portia Miller.

I'm known as Queen.

I'm with Black Lives Matter Grassroots, Black Lives Matter Grassroots East Atlanta DeKalb here in Stonecrest, Georgia, and a member here at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.

Attorney Crump, legal team, y'all know we've been here before, but I, it's not more such, a more such of a question.

And later today, Nolan's parents and their legal team, they will hold a news conference to respond publicly to the grand jury's decision.

Uh, that news conference is scheduled for 12 o'clock, uh, Eastern at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Stonecrest, Georgia.

So that's what he told me last night.

Yes.

I am deeply rooted in being a champion for higher education.

This year, by the grace and the power of God, I'm appreciative that New Birth, where I pastor, was able to send 225 young people to colleges, predominantly HBCUs.

totaling somewhere in the orbit of almost $8 million worth of scholarships.

To God be the glory.

My colleague and comrade and Morehouse classmate, Reverend Dr. Otis Moss, proud and esteemed pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, challenged pastors to not just promote the tourism of the museum, but to make a financial deposit.

I heeded that call.

I'm so grateful that New Birth Missionary Baptist Church gave $75,000 to the Smithsonian Museum.

I'm also proud, shameless plug, to ask for a pair of shoes from when I marched in Sanford, Florida for Trayvon Martin and through the streets of Baltimore for George Floyd.

This is Jamal.

I cheat on my wife and now I'm at New Birth Church taking over for pastor who was messing with little boys at the church, allegedly, that he settled with the boys on.

What's his name? Bishop, forget his name.

Some of y'all in the chat know what I'm talking about.
