Never Diet Again with Max Lowery

**If you’re successful in almost every area of your life, why does losing weight still feel so hard? Maybe the problem isn’t that you need more discipline. Maybe you’ve been trying to solve the wrong…
So I speak to thousands of women every single year about their weight and their relationship with food.
And there's one sentence I hear again and again, I should be able to do this myself.
And interestingly, I tend to hear this from women who are succeeding in almost every other area of their lives.
They're successful in their careers, they're running businesses, they're raising families, they're achieving things in their hobbies.
And that doesn't make sense to them because they think, if I can handle all this other stuff, why can't I do this? It's not complicated.
In fact, it's often quite the opposite because they've read the books, they've listened to the podcast, they've tried the diets.
They know about calories and they know they should be eating more vegetables and less ultra processed food.
So they think they already know what they need to do, which makes the obvious conclusion, I should be able to do this myself, but they can't.
Maybe they can for a few weeks, maybe even a few months, but eventually they find themselves back in the same place.
The things keeping women stuck usually have very little to do with how much they know about nutrition.
It's the glass of wine at the end of a stressful day because they feel like they deserve it.
It's opening the cupboard and picking at something whilst they're cooking dinner, even though they're not actually hungry.
And underneath those behaviors, they are usually deeper patterns that have never been addressed.
