Today, I'm joined by Hesham Gamal Ghaffar, Manager of Digital Twin Smart Cities and AEC, which stands for Architecture, Engineering and Construction at ESRI Saudi Arabia.

Hesham works across digital twins, geospatial technology, smart cities, construction, and infrastructure with a particular focus on connecting GIS or Geographic Information Systems, BMI or Building Information Modeling, and other data sources to improve how cities and major projects are planned, built, and operated.

There is still a lot of confusion around what a digital twin actually is, where it creates real value, and what organizations need in place for it to be useful.
