**In today’s episode I discuss Ilja Dragunov leaving WWE, ROH vs TNA, Is it over for Jay White? Should Will Ospreay LOSE at All In? AND MORE!** **If y’all like wrestling and wanna hear more make sure…
But oh man, because of the news that just got announced, which I am now clipping this into the podcast, Julia and Ilja got a whole lot of things going on around them that we gotta talk about.
And I first wanna start off with Julia.
We'll talk about Ilja in a second, because Julia is officially getting her name trademarked by WWE.
Interesting timing for this because of the fact that she's been in WWE for, like, two years now, and there's been no trademarks in the past two years.
So it's like, why is WWE now choosing to trademark her name? Is it because they potentially got wind of her wanting to leave? Is it because they potentially got wind of her being upset? Does it have a lot to do with the Ilja Dragunov situation? Because I'll get into it in a minute, but he did let his contract expire.
He will be leaving WWE immediately, which means he does not have to wait the 90 days or anything like that.
So it's like, did WWE see the Ilja situation and was like, "Okay.
Well, Julia, we know that we ain't done the best with you.
We know how much name your, uh, weight holds.
We gonna go ahead and trademark that name so you cannot leave with that name." Because Ilja ain't got his name trademarked, so he can leave and take that name with him wherever he wants to go.
Julia now has hers pending, and it's like, this is nasty by WWE.
This is extremely nasty by WWE, because they're not doing anything with this woman at all in the slightest.
They are not giving her any actual good storylines.
They're not giving her really any type of real pushes.
They are simply just having Julia on the roster, having her in some matches, having her not be on TV, having her win some titles, not really doing anything with her title run at all in the slightest, and it's just a whole bunch of bull crap going on with Julia.
But again, because a lot of people know how talented Julia is, and know that it's really WWE holding her back and not really Julia, you know, not out- not going out there to then performing to the best of her ability, because every time she's out there, I do believe that she is putting on as best of a match as she possibly can with what she is given.
This is more on WWE, and we know that if Julia leaves, there's two places that she's likely gonna be going, maybe three with AmeriGold, but it's likely a Stardom, or it's likely an AEW, or she ends up doing some freelance work like Saraya and getting her name to be much bigger and all that stuff.
So by them trademarking her name, it's like, now she gonna have to rebuild herself, and Julia's name is not really the biggest.
If you put it into any kind of search engines or anything like that for the hashtags and all that, it's just not that big of a name.
You got 50 different other Julias before you really even get to WWE Julia, and it's like, when you do put WWE Julia, very, very small amount of posts, very, very small amount for the hashtag number and all that.
And so it's like Julia is just not the biggest of stars right now.
She's not in a Mercedes situation where when she left WWE, re- removing the name Sasha Banks and all that, even though it wasn't actually trademarked by WWE, uh, like, at that point in time, so she could've kept using it.
She decided to go ahead and have a whole new fresh start and use Mercedes.
She didn't have as hard of a time, because you knew who the hell she was.
Julia is still trying to get to that point.
