SHOCKTOBER Days 9, 10, 11& 12

So, uh, the theme for day 9 was PG13, and this just so happened to fall exactly when I had the chance to watch the movie Insidious: Out of the Further, which is a PG13 movie.

It's directed by Jacob Chase, and it stars Emilia Eve, Island Austin, and the great Lin Shaye, among other people.

But, uh, the general story is that, uh, Gemma, played by Emilia Eve, has...

You know, she's starting to be haunted by her past.

Uh, she's getting these visions, these dreams about this, uh, this, this future where her, her daughter and her boyfriend are, are going to perish.

And then, you know, just she's having visions of the Further.

So obviously, this is the first movie in the Insidious series, uh, but it's the most recent.

So Gemma, she is guided for some spiritual hel- help, and this guides us to the great Lin Shaye, and her royalty of playing Elise, and she gives aid, and it's wonderful.

And, uh, the movie kind of, uh...

You know, it's, it's one that I'm g- I, I, I have a few gripes, mostly because it's just, like, it's just...

It, it, it's following a lot of these, these storylines that have already been done, and it's not bringing anything new.

And, and there's this, the...

I, I, I feel like they're really trying to use mouth horror to really, like, you know, bring out the gross, and, eh, I don't know.

It, I...

It was just things that turned me off about the movie.

But it's, you know, it's gonna be middle of the road.

It's not great, but it's also not awful.

But going on to the next day.
