252. Respectfully... Motherish

I do have a Motherish moment.

So as many of you know, faith is very important to me, and me trying to teach Ford to have faith and build a relationship of his own with God and all that, it's very hard, but you know, he's six.

Um, his father is not as faith-based-

... as I am, so it's kinda hard to co-parent a child when you have a little bit of a difference between, you know, beliefs.

But, you know, I'm being consistent and, you know, Ford sometimes roll his eyes or, like, he fights me to go to church, but, you know, I'm being...

E- I keep asking for prayers to help me guide Ford.

And the other night, he thought I was already asleep, and, uh, he had just had a tournament, his first soccer tournament, and that's another big deal.

Episode, yeah.

Yes.

Soccer moms out there, pray for me please.

[laughs]

Um, so he had his first tournament, and before the tournament, I had told him, "Hey, baby, like, if you get nervous, like, if you..." Not nervous.

I think I used, "If you have little butterflies in your stomach-"

Mm-hmm

... like, they put him to play goalie a lot, so it's a lot of pressure.

You know, like, you just, you pray.

You pray, you tell God, "God, please give me strength, give me wisdom.

You know, let me, you know, good, good do job." So he was like, "Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah." And I'm watching him during the tournament, and the whole time he's like...

[laughs] Like, he's always, like, like, praying.

I, I obviously was nervous-

He's praying for the World Cup.

Yes.

He's like, "I could do this."
