So I would, you know, when it comes to 401ks, it's, you know, people, when they're just getting started, they may become eligible for a 401k, but not many people spend a lot of time really understanding all the dynamics that are involved.

So what would you say, Gene? Let's talk about what is a 401k? How is it important and why do they matter?

Now, I'm going to take a step back because when you started this segment, you talked about a defined contribution plan.

And that's what a 401k is, a defined contribution plan, because you're defining what contributions you want to be invested in this plan.

And you don't hear that term anymore because these are benefits where corporations used to create pension plans where a retiree would receive a check a month in the mail.

Now, back when my parents and my grandparents were retiring, they had what I refer to as that three-legged stool.

Where right now, it's really that two-legged stool, right? You've got Social Security.

So 401ks are a huge way that employers try to provide the foundation for employees to be successful at retirement.

And, you know, it's, there's a lot of great features to these things, right? They're important.

And what would you say on like, in terms of the importance of a 401k for someone's future retirement planning, how important are they?
