I'm your host, Masha Goins, and today we're going to talk about a topic that is so near and dear to my heart and something that we talked about yesterday with one of my amazing flamingos in my group coaching program, Hey 100K.
We talked about money mindset and And specifically, she had just gone through the module.
My program actually starts with money mindset work because it is such a critical, all-pervasive part of your business journey.
You may just realize that you have resistance or you feel uncomfortable selling or you are not sure about your pricing.
And so you may not make that connection that, you know what, I've got to work on my money mindset.
I've got scarcity mindset, etc., etc., But eventually you're going to realize that it really limits your growth because if you don't address it and that's why I start with it and it's like a cyclical program where you keep breaking through to new levels of self-awareness of growth.
And money mindset, it's not just what you like believe about money, right? Yes, there's a big part in how did you grow up? What were the stories that you had when you were younger about wealth and money and worthiness? But it's also shows up like it manifests in what you charge, what you tolerate, what you invest in.
the things that you avoid and also how visible you're willing to be, right? So it's really critical.
That's why I started with it because it's really the foundation for business growth.
It's like really hard to grow as in self-development if you don't tackle your childhood trauma.
Like the money mindset is like it's almost like a trauma, a small team with trauma that you don't really address, don't really think about until you start your own business.
And the example that my Flaminga shared in Hey 200k is that it's about her pricing, right? It's her view of where in the marketplace do I price my offer? And how is that going to be perceived and specifically, she had gotten feedback from somebody who actually invested in her program and went through it, but was also a business owner in that space.
Um, and she had gotten feedback from that person that, oh, you know, I'm so glad I actually invested in it.
Just so you know, um, everybody thought that, you know, your pricing was way too high and, you know, we couldn't believe you were charging so much for this and da, da, da, da, da, you know? And so that speaks to like one of our core wounds, right? Of not belonging.
