I know really like a lot of focus when you're pregnant comes on like the birth.

Getting your photography, your baby shower, all the gadgets that come along with it.

But a lot of things I noticed, and especially as a labor and delivery nurse, there is this sense of we made it when the baby's born.

It's kind of like marriage, right? Like people have the wedding and they plan for the wedding and they have that big day and you're like, actually, this takes a lot more work day to day.

And that's what it's like having a baby, right? People plan for the wedding and not the marriage and people plan for the birth

Out there, I mean, my biggest takeaway, if you can reach out to a lactation professional as far as just making that connection.

So whether it's taking a class, just having a consultation, even a virtual one, just so you have that expert in your pocket.

Just because some people can start breastfeeding right away and things can go okay and they feel like they don't need that extra help.

But more often than not, especially nowadays, with all the noise on the internet.
