This is episode 3 of 4 on restarting your weight loss. Today's episode, is a more advice driven than the previous two episodes, and is geared towards the woman that is doing too much or the woman who…
All right, one thing I talk about with clients, when we are working together is each week, there's certain goals we set.
And this is individual to everybody, because everybody's got a different starting point or a different place in their journey.
But I want you to think of whether it's like a progress track, a progress tracker, a checking off a to-do list, pulling a lever, giving yourself like a smiley face or a sticker like you did in kindergarten when you completed a chore.
Get that visual in your head.
Each action you're taking, You're pulling a lever.
You're getting a sticker.
You're marking it off.
Why I want you to do this, first of all, it's pretty clear.
You can see, are you hitting the goals that I've asked you to do or you told yourself you're going to do? Are you doing it? You can look back and see over the week if you did it pretty easily.
But think also, each time you pull a lever, Each time you complete the task, you're doing something that should be helping you progress on your weight loss journey.
So for example, if you are someone who is needing to focus more on getting in your protein, I want you to pull the lever, checkmark, sticker.
I focused on protein.
You could do it each meal.
You can do it each day.
However works best for you.
that you're emphasizing protein.
If you're someone who said three times a week, I'm going to work out, you pick the days, but you should have over the course of the week, three marks that you pulled the lever, you checked the box, three times you got in your workouts.
Maybe there's a lever for hitting 30 grams of fiber throughout the day.
You kind of get the general idea and so forth.
But each lever you pull, each time you pull a lever, get a sticker, check mark.
I want you to also think you are going in a bit of a transitional period where you kind of need to see how your body is responding.
in order to get a true assessment on if something is working or not? Or is there more work that needs to be done because I'm good at three workouts a week? I'm good at hitting my protein.
So what am I missing? What are the other things I need to work at? Also with this, that's why addressing what's actually going to move the needle is so incredibly important because you can get in the trap of checking all the boxes, pulling all these levers.
I mean, every day I work with women who are doing a million and one things.
Who isn't? But more is not always the answer.
