Stephanie CrasswellerHostAnd this is the hardest thing and took the longest time to actually learn and be able to do because we are all very emotionally attached to the scale.
And so they all said that before when the scale would go up or the scale would go down or even in our coaching program.
I'm going to go for an extra walk today as opposed to realizing how much normal fluctuations are a part of this process.
And this can be from so many things, from how much salt you ate, how many carbohydrates you ate, if you ate more or less, if you ate later, if you slept worse, if you worked out really hard the next day, the scale usually goes up from inflammation and water retention.
There are so many things that impact the scale day to day, week to week.
And so I actually have a podcast with all the scale fluctuation causes that you can head to in the show notes to listen to.
So don't have to cover them all here, but I usually recommend women actually write down all those things, have it by the scale.
So that way, when they jump on, if the scale goes up, they can go through that list and see what would have caused it to go up because that allows you to make a plan, but also to be less reactive, lower your stress and understand what's happening in your body to make you feel more in control.
And so all of these women learned to not react to the scale and look at patterns instead, which is number two.
And so they adjusted the plan based on what the data and pattern was showing them.
So over the course of one week, two week, three weeks, how was your sleep on average? We write that down, look at that, the scale, your nutrition.
your energy, all of those things, depending on the person, we're tracking different things.
And this is where tracking your weight every single day can actually be really helpful for you because we want to look week to week.
