not guaranteed this coming weekend there's four tournaments left before the cutoff and this weekend there's one in budapest where is a gold event gold events carry big ranking points and there's a lot of people below me going so they could jump me it's unlikely that i get knocked out of position but it's possible i get knocked out of position so i'm hoping i'm there you know what i'm so invested now in in the idea of lakeside and you know let's peel the curtain back a little bit let's let's be honest and real if you haven't heard the rumors as of yet there are rumors floating around within the darts world certainly within those that are in the know and rumors that are very strong these aren't just Well, you're going to have to tell us now, Matt, because I don't know what they are.

So the original rumour was next year would be the final Lakeside.

I have actually heard recently conversations suggesting that this year could be the final ever Lakeside.

Wow.

Yeah.

So that means I want to be in it even more.

to be a part of the final event in that historic venue.

It doesn't mean the tournament's going to stop the tournament will get relocated.

But as far as it being at that specific venue, this could be the last ever one.

So if you've ever been thinking about going down to Lakeside, this could be the year to do so because it may not be there.

It's a bit like, at the moment, it feels a bit like at the end of the Premier League when they go, oh, well, Burnley's not relegated yet mathematically, but they'd have to win their last 11 games and everybody else lose.

That's what it feels like for you for Lakeside.

I've looked at where you are points-wise and I'm like, yeah, all right, mathematically, but it'd have to be a crazy series of events for you to not get in.

And by a cruel twist of fate, it also fell on Paul Nicholson to call the game that made him lose his star card.

So I'm not going to count my chickens just yet.

However, I'm going to start preparations.

I've got my diary nice and set for November where as soon as I knew this was possibly I didn't put my diary too heavy for November.
