Be Like Daniel

See, because what I was going to say is in Daniel, what Daniel had, he had a good heart, the right heart.

The young man was 13, 14 years old, and he was taken captive by Nebuchadnezzar.

And at 13, 14 year old, he became a eunuch.

Where that means that they cut his business.

They took care of him to where he didn't desire women or anything else.

Where he desired was doing things for the king.

That's it.

That way his mind wasn't anywhere else.

But what I want to start out is in Colossians.

I want to read something to you.

Put it up there if you can, brother.

3, 23, and 24.

And it says, and whatever you do, do it heartly as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance for you when you serve the Lord.

See, it's important that you understand that our heart has to be right.

See, a lot of times what we tend to do is do things and say, look what I did.

Man, watch, look at me.

Hey, little pat on the back here.

But are we doing it for us or are we doing it for God? Are we feeding the homeless because God told us to or so he can see what I'm doing? You follow me? It's not about that.

It's about, are you doing it for the Lord? Are you doing what's right? Are you doing it so God can say, that's what I want from you? Your heart has to be right.

And I'm just as guilty as anybody else here, especially the people that aren't here.

They're really guilty.

But the thing is, is that our heart has to be right in everything that we do.

Whether we love our husband or we love our wife, our heart has to be right.

It's not, well, if I love him today, you know, he'll let me buy this.

Or if I love her today, she'll let me go here.
